Personal Trainer
What made you decide to become a personal trainer?
Growing up I was never very athletic or competitive. Because of that, I shied away from playing sports. I used to think that fitness was not for me until I discovered strength training and instantly fell in love. I became very passionate about health and fitness and that’s when I decided that I wanted to help others find and build their own strength. Fitness is for everyone, regardless of athletic ability.
Where did you grow up and how did you end up in Marin County?
I am a Marin County native and grew up in Mill Valley. There is no place like home!
How long have you been training and where did you get started?
I have been working as a personal trainer for 2 years. I first started working with private clients in the Bay Area, then I moved on to working at larger gyms and boutique studios like Fit Club.
What do you like most about working at Fit Club For Women?
I love the community at Fit Club. I have connected with so many wonderful women and I look forward seeing my ladies in the studio.
What exercises do you enjoy the most (for yourself)?
I focus primarily on strength training. I favor functional compound movements that work multipe muscle groups at the same time, an efficient way to get the job done. So when I am on my own, you will see me doing squats, lunges, deadlifts, planks and rows.
What would we be surprised to know about you?
I have an identical twin sister (who is also a personal trainer) - and - my two older sisters are also identical twins.
What do you like to do when you are outside of the studio?
I love, hiking, traveling, drinking chai, live music, relaxing in the sun and most of all spending time with my sweet puppy Ziggy.
