We take incredible pride in our amazing trainers at Fit Club For Women. It isn't hard to find a certified personal trainer here in Marin. But it's very rare to find trainers as knowledgeable, positive, and fun as the trainers at Fit Club. Our trainers understand how to work with women of all ages, crafting workouts that push our members while keeping them safe, engaged, and happy.

What made you decide to become a personal trainer?

I danced throughout my life and in college I was working towards my degree when a car accident ended my dancing career. I was devastated but during my recovery I met some incredible people who helped me heal and one Pilates instructor in particular took the time to explain to me why certain movement patterns kept re-aggravating my injuries. She inspired me to get my personal training certification, share the love of movement, and to truly take the time to explain movement patterns to prevent injury.

What exercises do you enjoy the most (for yourself)?

My very favorite exercise is a plank. It is one of the most effective body weight exercises for strengthening the core. I create my workouts around different plank variations that make my training more effective.

What made you decide to become a personal trainer?

I was always interested in medicine, health, and fitness. When I got to college I enjoyed studying the sciences and exercise physiology in particular.  Becoming a personal trainer seemed like a natural fit to combine my love of fitness and helping other people obtain maximum health and wellness through lifestyle changes, diet  and exercise.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I performed in a comedy festival once and accidentally stole a sugar-free Red Bull from Janene Garofalo. You also might be surprised to know that yes, in a pinch, I will drink Red Bull. Don't tell anyone.

What made you decide to become a personal trainer?

I believe movement and nutrition are key to preventative health. For a long while I wanted to work in health care but quickly found our health care system does very little in the way of preventing illness, injury, and general functional decline. Training provides me the opportunity to help people achieve a healthy lifestyle before, during, and/or post ailment in hopes of avoiding future health related mishaps.
