What would we be surprised to know about you?
I performed in a comedy festival once and accidentally stole a sugar-free Red Bull from Janene Garofalo. You also might be surprised to know that yes, in a pinch, I will drink Red Bull. Don't tell anyone.
What made you decide to become a personal trainer?
I began getting deep into fitness while I was living in Los Angeles, and found I had a lot of passion for the field. I'm also an actor, and at the time I was waiting tables to make ends meet. When I realized I could be passionate about BOTH of my jobs, I quit restaurant work, and pursued personal training! That was in 2012, and since then I think about how lucky I am every day.
What do you like most about working at Fit Club For Women?
The sense of community. The people here, employers, employees, and clients, all truly care about each other. They've also made it policy to not have trainers to do sales work, which means we get to focus on the most important thing: improving our clients' fitness in a way that is safe and fun.
What exercises do you enjoy the most (for yourself)?
I'm a walking example of the Principle of Training Specificity. I love to run as my main source of cardio, but put me on a bike and I'm pathetic. I also enjoy dancing, heavy lifting, and stand-up paddle boarding when I get the chance.
What fitness certifications have you acquired?
National Strength and Conditioning Association - Certified Personal Trainer. CPR and AED certified.
